In a recent co-interview I did with Tech with Catalina, we asked Dan Held about the role of spending in the Bitcoin ecosystem. He had just tweeted that he had "regretted every time" he had ever spent bitcoin.
He shares his story about how he's seen the industry evolve over the last 8 years and what the markers of growth and adoption could be. Even though he is on the side of not spending bitcoin - I really enjoyed the way he articulated his position and shared his views on WHEN bitcoin spending could make sense.

Yeah I think that BTC at the moment is a one trick pony, its only a store of value and it will continue to be as we gobble up the supply over time, what will be built ontop of it like the lightning network and Liquid Network will be the payment methods.
My take is spend the bad money first (fiat) and keep the good money for later
