Believe it or not, the PS5 had a locked browser. Meaning only certain apps can open it. So you can for instance open a discord invite from a games main menu. But I can't go to a stand-alone browser and go any website I want.
I'm not sure why they don't allow this, they did on PS4. It's rumored that they'll eventually bring the browser back, no idea when. I guess not enough people are complaining about not having it yet. Even then, I doubt they'd let me access the files on my console and upload. Consoles are just nowhere near as flexible as a computer in so many ways... yet here I am loving my PS5.
