Moyie Falls

in Threespeak • 17 days ago (edited)

Today the plan was to do something easier than yesterday's hike to Fairy Falls. Moyie Falls is located about 20 minutes west of Cranbrook, British Columbia. In order to get there one must use a gravel trucking/logging road (think high clearance vehicle) After arriving at the trailhead, it took only about thirty minutes to hike to the falls. The weather was overcast and somewhat windy, it felt like it could start raining at any time, but it didn’t luckily. I'd say the flow of the fall was at about half its normal pace, no surprise as it is late September already. Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, this is actually beautiful to see. I like the sight of it.

Totally unrelated but, do you know the funniest thing about looking at this? It gives me a memory from where I come from. Do you know that it’s forbidden to use anything made by man, like technology, like a bucket or plastic, to take water from a rock or something? You have to use a calabash or your hands, otherwise it’s forbidden. So, when I see things like this, it makes me wonder if people actually know that there are some parts of this world where people don’t have as much freedom as other parts of the world.

Where abouts do you come from?

Interesting points you brought up. I did not know that.

The sound of the water falling over the rock is soothing... It's also surprising that there are no people in the water falling area, I thought that being such a beautiful place, a lot of people would want to be in the area. How much does it cost for them to let you into the area, or it's free?

Well the weather wasn't super, in fact it was cool and a bit windy. On a warmer day, I'm sure it would be much busier for sure, as it is relatively close to the city.

A spectacular adventure. The sound of the cascading water is truly soothing. The way it falls is beautiful too unhurried and graceful.

Great place to contemplate life!

Is there a mistake here? Stones are thrown out of the ground layer by layer

The cliff rocks seem quite unstable, and many have fallen into the creek.

Bro, it looks like you had a really fun trip, didn't you? 😂

It was a fun one.

Thanks for the share.
