Numa Falls

This is one of my favourite falls, located somewhere between Radium, British Columbia and Castle Junction, Banff Park. Just off the highway is the parking lot, then a two minute walk to these awesome falls! This is the Kootenay river that flows southward through this narrow canyon. This time of year the water flow is probably at about 70% of its normal flow rate. Generally the early July time frame is when it's at maximum flow. What an incredible fall, hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for stopping by.

I love the roar of water rushing over a waterfall, that was spectacular! Beautiful scenery combined with a nice waterfall to boot! It doesn't get much better than that does it? Just imagine the roar at peak runoff, it must be twice to three times as loud! What an awesome spot, I see why it's one of your favorite falls!

One day you will have to check out Niagara Falls, the deafening roar is amazing! What a cool video, thanks for sharing!

Yes, one day I really ought to visit Niagara Falls, the mother of all falls!!

Wow, I didn't realize you were standing in front of a bridge until you flipped the camera to show the other side. Stunning view as well. The water looks really shallow, and I guess a habit for some animals to feed in the area.

Pretty sweet water fall, so easily accessible.

Seventy percent flow this time of year still makes the Kootenay look fierce squeezing through that narrow canyon.

Beautiful to watch in action!

Wow, it's very beautiful, the river bank is also very beautiful, like a carving carved by an artist

Yes, the bank is particularly pretty with the carving effect.

A two-minute walk from the highway to a canyon waterfall running at 70 percent flow is about as easy as nature gets.

Indeed, so worthwhile.

What a beautiful view

Thank you.

Two minutes off the highway for a canyon waterfall like that is almost unfair, even at seventy percent flow the Kootenay still looks like it is in a hurry.

Yep, anytime I drive by this one, its worth a quick in and out.
