Cheers man! Great report, it's an effort of will to see through the layers of spin. Who has the intellect and the will to see it? I suppose that's part of it, it becomes so confusing it's just easier to accept what is said to be real, instead of making sound judgement based on non-biased opinion.
So more and more conversations need to be had and many different levels of empathy had for many different people on the truth spectrum.
It's a long road to freedom but it is not impossible. I have hope.
I totally agree with your take on this @dbroze. This is what they want, justification to increase the security and surveillance state.
Greenwald makes a very good point when he asks how is the USG, who spends trillions on their global war machine, unable to secure the US Capitol building. Indeed, in some cases it appears that the police opened the gates and let them waltz right in. There is something afoot here. I wouldn't call this a coup or a revolution or anything like that, as the protestors took selfies and left.
As Chris Hedges has warned for years, the high-tech weapons that the US employs abroad will be brought home and used against America's own people - drones, indefinite detention, constant surveillance of the 'battle field', etc.
Both the left and the right "predator class" (I like that) will use this event to consolidate their power and continue to push their bipartisan agendas.
