Throughout Canada, no holiday dinners, gift-openings, socializing, or meetings of any kind will be allowed this year. We have been told to have a "virtual holiday season", which for many of us means a long and cold winter alone. We're going to have to do our best to keep healthy, sane, and in good spirits as the darkness and chill encroaches.

So glad Australia has been lifting restrictions so hopefully we will have a somewhat normal Christmas time. So sad you are having so many restrictions to contend with.
It's hard not to be a little angry. But that does nobody any good... gotta try and get over it and be ready for whatever's coming next.
It's not really cancelled unless you're a retard who is willingly avoiding family. The only kind of people who would do that are either extremely neurotic and paranoid, or using the restrictions as an excuse not to see family. As long as we get to play with our Chinese garbage from Amazon, right? Laaaame. People break the rules to serve themselves ALL the time if they don't get found out, so why not have your own family in your house for the holidays? What's the matter? Is Alexa watching?
We must not comply! Families should gather with those who agree to do so and take on the risks. Those who want to cower are also free to do that!
The "WuFlu" sure took the fun out of our holidays. And although I understand why our governments are doing this, I still could not agree to it. Still, you do have a point, we can't let the bug break our spirit and ruin Christmas. After all, there's still ways to enjoy the holiday without large gatherings. We just need to think outside the box. Stay healthy and safe, and thanks for the inspirational post.
In mid March when the mainstream heard about the virus and got very scared thanks to mainstream media's nonstop fear porn, I told a cashier I was feeling nervous when she inquired.
"Don't worry," she assured me, "It's probably not as scary as they're making it out to be."
That's what I'm worried about, I replied.
She half-laughed and shrugged, not catching my meaning.
Cases! Cases, everyone! I mean places! Places!
In Soviet Russia, Christmas cancel you! haha apparently Christmastime was also cancelled in Russia in 1931.
