Hello friends, I hope you are feeling very well, on this occasion I want to show you my latest artistic work, which is part of a series of works that I am making for an exhibition. Here I show how I made a portrait of the Venezuelan rapper Canserbero, which I have chosen as one of the cultural icons to represent in the exhibition. I made this portrait using black paper, white charcoal and acrylic paint. Every day the day I have to send the works gets closer, so I'm very eager for that moment, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles mi último trabajo artístico, el cual forma parte de una serie de obras que estoy realizando para una exposición. Aquí muestro como hice un retrato del rapero venezolano Canserbero, el cual he escogido como uno de los íconos culturales a representar en la exposición. Hice este retrato utilizando papel negro, carboncillo blanco y pintura acrílica, cada día más se acerca el día que debo enviar las obras así que estoy muy ansioso por ese momento, espero que les guste.
I chose Canserbero as my main character because he has gained a very important cultural relevance, taking rap made in Venezuela to a level never seen before. Just as I also chose other characters and also some Venezuelan traditions, my objective is to give value to what is current without losing sight of our customs and traditions.
Escogí a Canserbero como mi personaje principal por que ha cobrado una relevancia cultural muy importante, llevando el rap hecho en Venezuela a un nivel nunca antes visto. Así como también escogí a otros personajes y también algunas tradiciones venezolanas, mi objetivo es darle valor a lo actual sin perder de vista nuestras costumbres y tradiciones.
I still need to find a good place where I can frame each illustration in a way that fits, I had chosen to use portrait frames but I think that each of the paintings should have a frame more in line with the dignity of the painting. Of all the paintings I have made, this is the largest.
Aun me falta encontrar un buen lugar donde pueda enmarcar cada ilustración de una manera que quede conforme, había optado por usar porta retratos pero creo que deben tener cada una de las pinturas un marco más acorde a la dignidad de la pintura. De todas las pinturas que he realizado esta es la de mayor tamaño.
Here in this portrait I not only used charcoal, but I also used acrylic paint, my objective was to make minimal details, these types of details when done on a black background look very good, they give it a finish that catches the eye. . Once again I am enjoying dark cardboard because I acquired a new block, and I bought it especially for the series I am doing.
Aquí en este retrato no usé solamente el carboncillo, sino que utilicé también pintura acrílica, mi objetivo era hacer mínimos detalles, esta clase de detalles cuando se realizan en un fondo de color negro quedan muy bien, le dan un acabado que atrapa a la vista. Otra vez estoy gozando de cartulina oscura porque adquirí un nuevo block, y lo compre especialmente para la serie que estoy haciendo.
How did it seem to you? I think I have improved a lot, and I owe this to Hive, you don't know how grateful I feel to have met this great community, when I started 4 years ago, I was just an amateur illustrator, and today I find myself working as an artist and I aspire to be able to achieve more things. Que tal les ha parecido? creo que he mejorado mucho, y esto se lo debo a Hive, no saben lo agradecido que me siento de haber conocido esta gran comunidad, cuando comencé hace 4 años, era solo un dibujante aficionado, y hoy me encuentro trabajando como todo un artista y aspiro a poder lograr más cosas.
