I really taught that this is decentralized and our content is privately owned. How come 2 of my videos is deleted? this means it was not written in the blockchain and I did'nt have the full ownership of my content. I followed all the rules and I put "Not Safe for Viewing". Still threespeak deleted my content. Wow! just a confirmation that 3speak and our content is never ours and they have the ownership to delete our content. Social medias like facebook was better coz when they delete a content they will notify with a reason. with threespeak no notification. you just be ready when you view your video and play it. this will come out!
there must be a fundamental misunderstanding of how blockchains work bud. Blockchains do not store pictures, they do not store videos, they are text only. This is brick number 1, foundational brick, I'd say.
Now that said, a blockchain like hive references, through text, things that live outside the blockchain. When you upload an image, for example, you will notice how the link is images.hive.blog or peakd or ecency. Again, further proof of what I'm saying.
If you thought that images also were stored on a blockchain, this is just a misunderstanding of the technology you hold.
Now, regarding your deleted videos. Threespeak, at no charge to absolutely anyone, pays for a server every month to store terabytes of videos. This is done so that hive users have a place where they don't have to worry about getting their channels taken down for wrong opinions, for example. Hence the name.
Now, all the videos are stored using IPFS. I'd recommend you learn about IPFS is you are serious about understanding decentralized systems.
Because the videos are IPFS, other people, you specifically, can participate in storing your own videos, having redundancy, if you will. Why? So that if we have a hard disk failure, like we did eight months ago, you don't lose your precious data.
Again, video storage is not HIVE. That would be like saying that a book making reference to a character, IS the character itself.
