RE: BroFi: Bringing Another DeFi Option To Hive

in Threespeak5 years ago

This was a great video @taskmaster4450 you bring up many great points! It is very exciting and we are finding an interesting balance between cross posting as well as intentionally creating content for multiple communities. This is only the beginning! I already have three communities with different plans underway. In the Canada forum there is a Canadian Pub where you can ask for a !BEER and also play a fun little game I made.

I have another community that I am crafting carefully, from a Facebook research group I started over a year ago... and I have some special ideas that will require consult with the Hive-Engine wizards to create. Also when the Lockdowns started, I set up http://www.patronpass.net as an arts and entertainment community for events, in preparation for when I can start putting on Concerts and other special events again. And even though the PLUS token is still waiting for staking to be enabled, this and many more projects are going to come to life over the next few years.

I regularly host HiveCoffee meetups, onboarding new users every day, although more in previous years. Now there is even more to talk about! I think the friends in my Hive school on FB still think I am crazy, because I am always posting about these different things; one day dCITY, the next talking about LeoFinance, some CUB thing, 3speak videos, Splinterlands, a Brain website, some Classifieds thing, virtual reality... Seems like every day something new.

It can be very confusing and overwhelming for new users... but some of them have done better than I when starting out! The best way to introduce a new users is with the Hive base layer, getting them to save their keys, practice signing different transactions and learning how to login and power up Hive. Posting and earning some vesting shares for their account, before they dive into something complex.

Most of us are here for the long term, I would like to assume. When someone gets started creating and curating awesome content, and then powers up rewards consistently for one, two, three years, they get to see the larger picture of what is going on here. I suspect the era of cheap Hive is nearly over.

Soon we will all realize that we have something really incredible here. It is the decentralized web3.0 data-layer we need now more than ever. I did really enjoy your video discussion @taskmaster4450 and I hope we can chat sometime in the near future!

Its hard to explain to people what Hive is... they have to see it for themselves...
