damn, i knew selling my blurt stake was a bad idea in hindsight. ahahaha.

i am always super slow when it comes to getting related news to the blogging platforms i use. ahahaha. slept on the whole hardfork thing because i was away, only found out later about hive. ahahaha

i have similar concerns and am still learning.
right now there is absolute truth embargo. i. the worst case one would ride the icp hype upwards when it does eventually reach the masses. and then maybe sell if decentralization is compromised.
the question remains how autonomous some dapps and communities can stay on icp, the only way to take them down would be at a system level. which is of course always the problem, someone with a huge amount of money can just buy the majority stake and thereby steer the network.
but then, that is he issue with all other platforms, even blurt. so the way i see it i want to be part of icp and hope it doesnt derail. if it does i will be out.
you can sell your internet identity anytime, which is just huge. meaning even if you stake for maximum duration you can always exit completely within 4 weeks.
the whole internet architecture approach they take is glorious. i feel the internet 2.0 will collapse soon enough as cybercrime and vulnerabilities are just too rampant.
i am these days looking into launching something on icp, and test whether it can run truly decentralized or if it's just a pipe dream.
as for identification, there is so far no reason to consent to sharing personal information or biometric information with icp. not even an email. so while i see and share your concern about nft'ing everything, that seems far off still. before that eth, btc and solana will die, just like most of the rest of the vaporware cryptos. it will be one giant wtf moment for the crypto community who have slept on thos thing and drank the controller-kool aid about xrp and the rest of the crap.
