Jowar Roti - Jolada Rotti (ಜೋಳದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ)

Hey everyone,

Today I have a special and very special day in kitchen. Its moms favorite stuff to be prepared in our kitchen - The Jolada Rotti or Jowar Roti.

The name literally gets translated as Sorghum Bread. The main ingredient to prepare Rotti is the Flour and the very thing was invented in India. The Rotti culture is very famous among the Northern Karnataka and some parts of Maharashtra.

So it was video time and mom was preparing Rotti. The special thing about the Rotti is they are hand made by stamping to have a thin bread. In the video you can see how mom is preparing.

The Rotti is very healthy as the ingredients are only Jowar flour. While the rottie is being fried on pan, it does not require oil smearing. Just a wet cloth to make sure the rottie surface is not being fried.

Here I made few photographs while I was capturing the video of mommy's preparation.

Hope this was a very new thing to you all, to put so much effort to prepare. But my mom says it's easy when you are doing it good. She loves doing it and she always prefers no oil breads compared to any other bread.

Will be back with a new video on Threespeak soon. Enjoy your day
