lawachara National Park is one of the most beautiful and important forest in Bangladesh. It is located in Sreemangal, which is widely known as the tea capital of the country. This national park was established in 1996 and covers an area of about 1250 hectares of tropical rainforest. Lawachara is famous for its rich biodiversity. The forest is home to many rare and endangered species of animals,birds and plants.One of the most notable animal found here is the western hoolock gibbon which is the only ape species in Bangladesh. Besides this visitors can also find deer,wild boars monkeys and various types of reptiles. The park also host more than 200 spices of birds,making it a paradise for bird watchers.The park is also covered with tall trees,dense vegetation and nice walking trails.Tourists can explore the forest through these trails and enjoy the clam environment and natural beauty.
