It is easy to get caught up on the paths we are heading down while overlooking how what is taking place affects people in general. Thus, it is helpful to step back at time and delve into the overriding situation and what is taking place.
In this video I lay out how cryptocurrency is already starting to lay an entirely new financial system. This is one that is tied to the Internet, actually is designed for it. We also see how some of the holes in the original Internet protocols are being filled. No longer do we have to deal with rent seekers, extracting from the system.

I definitely hope we can get rid of the rent seekers. Those cable companies, car sellers and other organization only serve to extract as much money as they can. However I can't see the government going to let this happen easily. The reason why is taxes and without these jobs, they will be receiving less taxes from the business and also the unemployment situation.
The virtual situation will be able to solve some of these issues but I doubt banks will ever disappear. Unfortunately people like the comfort of someone trustable acting to store you value and make transferring money easier. They may play less of a role and some people may opt for these fee-less transactions.
