Our entire concept of "reality" is going to be tested over the next decade. We are going to enter the virtual realm which will cause each of us to question what is "real".

In this video I discuss the concept of more of our world moving from atoms (physical) to bits (digital). We already saw this to a large degree in some areas and we will soon see it with screens as the Internet becomes 3D by the middle of this decade.

@taskmaster4450 our world is going virtual and it seems physical is becoming "old school"....till the extent that even many relationships are been found on a virtual ground....e.g internet dating...

The world is changing from physical to virtual...and technology is really helping it to become possible and easy....

VR has made me to see that the virtual life created by technology can be really effective in our lives when we make use of it the proper way...

A 3D internet is not a bad idea though ..it is going to be really interesting experiencing such....

VR is going to open up a host of other possibilities.

Think of the film Avatar but on steroids.

Interesting times await us.

That's an interesting perspective. If it comes true, energy corporations will essentially disappear because we should be generating way more energy than we can use up. Everyone would probably be able to run their own mining servers without fear of energy. I think it would completely disrupt how we consider utilities in the US.

@jfang003 that is true ...but not just in the US only but all over the world....

I always thought the movie "Total Recall" was theoretically way ahead of its time. What is reality? If you have a clear, vivid, memory of something, whether implanted or not, was it real? The answer really is that it doesn't matter. Your perception is your reality. Fascinating stuff as always.
