even the Musk himself admitted at some point that tesla is overvalued, I can understand the hype ( I would love an electric car and a house with tesla powerwall and solar roof ) but at this point I think it is bigger than what they can provide in the near future.

Detailed Article:
The video emphasizes the significance of Tesla's upcoming earnings report, stressing the importance of not solely focusing on the automotive sector but also considering Tesla's energy division. The speaker introduces the concept of the "Internet of Energy," likening it to the regular Internet but for energy nodes like geothermal plants, solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries. They point out Tesla's leading role in this field and underline the potential growth opportunities in the energy market.

The speaker compares the revenues of Tesla's automotive and energy divisions, indicating that while the automotive sector is larger, the energy division has substantial room for growth. They mention that the energy division, with products like the Powerwall, Solar Roof, and MegaPack, generated around $600 million in revenue last quarter, with a potential annual figure of $2.4 billion. In contrast, the automotive division is expected to surpass $10 billion in revenue.

The speaker expresses optimism about the energy division's growth potential, suggesting that it could see exponential increases, potentially 200-400%. They discuss Tesla's efforts to address potential constraints on growth, particularly in battery production, with initiatives like the 4680 battery cells and partnerships with suppliers like Panasonic.

Furthermore, the speaker highlights Tesla's ambitions for the energy division, citing Elon Musk's statement that it could eventually rival or even double the automotive division in size. They predict that Tesla's energy division could surpass $1 billion in revenues for the fourth quarter, driven by products like the Powerwall, Solar Roof, and MegaPack. The speaker underscores the demand for these products and the potential for significant revenue generation, particularly with goals like producing a thousand solar roofs per week.

In conclusion, the video underscores the importance of tracking Tesla's energy division as a key indicator of the company's future performance and stock growth potential. While the automotive sector is crucial, the speaker suggests that the energy division could be a major driver of Tesla's success in 2021 and beyond. By monitoring the progress and revenues of the energy division quarter by quarter, investors can potentially gauge Tesla's growth trajectory and investment opportunities.
