Congratulations on becoming a Dev, Brian! 🥳 And glad to hear your project is coming along.
I think Web3 is a very broad term that has many facets, similarly how Socialism, Capitalism, etc., etc. meandifferent things to different groups. In terms of decentralization, Hive is surely way up there, though I still think it would be good for Hive to have a direct Eth bridge.
BNB was/is successful because it provided a fast and cheap way to run ETH dapps via EVM. And I believe that Ethereum, as a technology, has and will continue to have an edge in terms of mainstream adoption. Hive as an infrastructure is unique, but we might want to think about a "language translator/bridge" between Hive and Ethereum.

Hoping that next CTT, we could hear @geekgirl’s voice. Though she mentioned a lot of factors contributing to HIVE’s value, I think her application of the two networks laws on HIVE is brilliant. It’s also my first time to hear @brianoflondon. I checked his V4Vapp. Understanding the code part in his article is really challenging. Finally, I was surprised to hear a cat and your baby. It appears to me that they could not wait to play that Ragnarok game! ^_^
I just hopped in to the discord channel right now so that I won't miss next week's episode of Community Talk Token. Maybe one day my post will also feature among the selected posts.
I've been following the Community Talk Token for a while now and it is from this Channel I got to understand Web 3 and the Paradigm Shift it is bringing to the Internet world and world of communication.
Just to comment on one of the posts I love most among the list of posts here. I read the $100 Hive by @geekgirl. I love the two scenarios and points she presented.
The first case is about investment through HBD for 12% annual interest. In truth, if we have more big shot and investors Buying Hive to Trade with HBD in order to get the 12% annual interest of HBD (a stable coin), then we are sure to get massive pumpsssss. O yeah! Not just "pump" but "pumpsssss". We will be Bullish all year round. 🚀
In the same way, if all the communities and groups on Hive try to up their game and their platform, then Hive will also shoot up such that these communities will reward their authors with their native token instead of Hive.
O yea, these are pretty good ideas that can be achieved if we work towards it, as individuals for the common good and as a community for development.

Turning lightning into Hive is harder because it is going to require infrastructure to receive lightning along with a Hive account name to send it to. That’s the subject of my proposal 201.
