Saturday Lecture On Fire Prevention

Hello everyone! Ahh, this week was the most tiring one, which is one of the reasons why I haven’t written a blog for almost a week. So, how are you today hivers? Doing great? I was so exhausted because of our research defense, which is one of the reasons for my sleepless days.

Are you ready for todays blog? Because today, I would like to share with you my experience during this day March 16, 2024, because we had our Fire Prevention Awareness Campaign 2024, with the theme of “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog Hindi ka Nag-iisa” and I will be one of the Instructors in this campaign.

As a student and part of the BCC SDRRMU, it is my responsibility to educate and spread awareness among my fellow BCCians. What’s more interesting about this campaign is that, I am able to teach my fellow BCCians, and at the same time, I am able to use my skills as a Teacher Education Student.

At exactly 8 am, I guess, we started our room-to-room lecture, but one of my group mates was the first one to lectured in the first room because I first came to my class to finish my performance, which is the balagtasan. So right after I finished my performance, I asked my teacher if I could go out already because I already informed him that I was a part of the SDRRMU and we would be conducting a room-to-room lecture, and also because the head of the school had already provided us a memo that we were excused infrom the class for the whole day.

During our lecture, I discussed the dos and don’t when there is a fire outbreak. At first, I was chill when discussing because I’m not discussing with my fellow teacher education students. So I’m having fun and teasing them. The second one is the safety emergency tips like preparing a Go Bag, turning of the electrical appliances when not in use, and many more. When I entered the BSED in English, I told my self not to use English language because they might correct me, so I was like acting as a professional, and when I entered the BSED in Filipino, it was like a home because I discussed it in front my classmate, and it was their first time seeing me lecture in front of them about this organization. You know what? I was a little nervous because they are really focused on listening to me and they had a lot of questions to answer. Maybe because we have known each other, that is why they are not hesitant to ask.

During this lecture, I have also teached them how to use the fire extinguisher properly and told them that when using a fire extinguisher, they should always remember the word PASS. P, stands for pull the pin which is the lock, in-order to squeeze it, A stands for aim at the base or fire, S stands for squeeze, and another S stands for sweep. While demonstrating on how to use the fire extinguisher, a lot of students tends to laugh and I don’t know why, or maybe we are thinking the same way hahaha. They ask me to aim to her, aim to him, aim to their, hahaha.

On the afternoon, I told them that I would be leaving because I am going to take my last period class. After all I am one of the reporters, and next week we will be having our midterm exam so it will be another sleepless days. On the photo, you will see that I always switched my clotes.

I asked them to take me a picture, but look what i have found in my gallery, they are using my phone to have a selfie. Yes, they took me some pictures but it was like a disaster😒.

Despite having this exhausting day, I am still happy because I have brought knowledge to other people and helped them realize the things that they should not do that could harm them and their families.

That’s all for todays blog. Once again, I am Aj and thank you for being with me on this journey bye bye….

I wonder if the posters that was pasted on the wall about Fire Prevention were also connected to what you did in the lecture time. But still I'm proud that you manage to teach your fellow BCCians. Once again again, congratulations. 😊

No its not hahaha, what I have discussed during the afternoon was about ecological literacy, one of my major subject hehehe

Nice of you! The Polar Bear is hibernating at the time, so I haven't participated. Good job on educating our fellow students. Kudos to all of you.
