Hi 🤗 I am here again as I promised in my last blog that I will share with you the Matatag Curriculum Pilot Implementers Exhibit 2024.
Together with me is the PTA Federated President of Tabogon. She is also a very good friend of mine.
The arrival of all the participating Divisions of the entire Region 7 at Tabogon Central Elementary School.
This time while the program was ongoing we served snacks. We have a lot of foods and delicacies prepared for them.
We have a lot of visitors coming from different Divisions of the entire Region 7. Each Division they are composed of the Schools Division Superintendent, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, the Chief of the School Governance and Operation Division (SGOD), and the Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID).
I felt honored that I was part of the usherettes to welcome the big bosses of the entire Region 7. I greeted them personally with my heartfelt smile and offered a lei as our welcome gesture.
By the way, what is this all about? Well based on my observation and interviews of the Matatag Curriculum Pilot Implementers, this is to show to all Divisions the beauty of the new Curriculum.
As we know our Department of Education is now on the face of changing the Curriculum. And this is what we call MATATAG CURRICULUM.
This is to decongest the curriculum and resolve misplaced learning competencies from Kinder to Grade 10 - source from PNA the Philippine News Authority.
For this School Year 2023-2024 the grade levels that implemented the Matatag Curriculum were the Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 4, and Grade 7.
And for the schools that were chosen to be pilot implementers in the entire Division of Cebu province are the Tabogon Central Elementary Schools of Tabogon District, Tindog Integrated School of Medellin District, Don Bosco National High School - Liloan National High School Extension of Liloan District, San Fernando Central Elementary School of San Fernando District, and Dumanhug National High School of Dumanhug District.
These schools were very lucky to be chosen as the Matatag Curriculum Pilot Implementers for they were able to meet up personally with our Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary and Vice President Sarah Duterte.
Our Schools Division Superintendent was very thankful for the result of the said exhibit.
The support from the LGU and other stakeholders was overflowing.
This was a big event in the entire Region VII. We were able to meet all the Schools Division Superintendents (SDS), Assistant Schools Division Superintendents (ASDS), Regional Director in Region VII, Assistant Regional Director in Region VII, the National Representatives, and many more.
Looking at how well and smooth the activity goes I can say that all the preparations we had were worth it.
Despite the rough roads we encountered but because of our dedication to giving the best to our learners, we will not give up.
Praying and hoping that with this new curriculum, we can be a better version of ourselves.
And we can place a higher rank in the international assessment of our learners. Our experts will always find ways to improve our education.
