But what i meant is that an adult reasoning is not like a child's reasoning.
And if you tried to extrapolate based on only the child's reasoning, you would not likely arrive at the adult's reasoning

You misunderstand.
The reasoning - if done through a underdeveloped ego (weak ego), then the result will be exactly the same as a child's reasoning...
('reasoning' can be entirely emotionally led - even though the consciousness -ego - doesn't like to admit it. ...hence the essential part of knowing yourself).
