Based on the fact that our psyche is where emotions rest both consciously and unconsciously and therefore allows us to give those responses or impulses that are commanded from our brains. So I could say that fear has a fundamental role, many see it in a negative way and are respected, from my perception I think it is very important since it is like a safety device that we naturally have in our bodies that when we perceive something that can cause us harm is activated in the form of an alert sending signals of fright, startle, fear and in an extreme case terror.

This even happens in some animals, years ago I had a dog, Princess, that was her name! When she heard fireworks she automatically ran to take cover, Yes! He perceived those detonations and reacted that way, of course! He did not have the ability to reason as we human beings to face his fears and fears but to protect himself.

I think that the main effect that fear has on our psyche is to activate us in such a way as to react in the most positive way to protect ourselves; Depending on our reaction and attitude, fear can lead us to give responses of improvement or defense, positively impacting our lives or, on the contrary, if it is blocking, the opposite happens, there will only be people who are subdued and afraid.

On the other hand, it is important to know that it is not only lived individually since it can also be collective, at present and especially at the political level this happens a lot, fear as an instrument of submission with the sole purpose of intimidating even entire nations and to be able to handle them at will. They take advantage of the power and control over the media to spread fear in society until they make a nest in the brain of the collective that creates a submission by making them prisoners of their own fears.

In order not to fall in terms of politics, I better take the example of the Pandemic, COVID-19, Yes! This is hot, why not talk about this then? We are afraid of being infected by this disease, how not? All the television channels worldwide speak of the large numbers of deaths in various countries and that the cure has not yet been found. Who is not alarmed by this? I also! "It is a strong virus" this says everyone, is it a reality? Yes! What to do? Protect ourselves, this on a personal level but on a social level is a great chaos.

Faced with the real or hypothetical threat, we have collectively adopted a fear with all the necessary rational justifications and we are deprived of our freedom either due to the mobilizations that we can no longer do, the interpersonal relationships between body to body are null, a total deterioration of our social life, work is from home, education is from home and so thanks to all existing restrictions.

This is effective social fear!

In conclusion, the effect of fear on our individual and collective psyche lies in being that active safety device to react to any dangerous situation and depends on our attitude and even aptitude to be able to control that the impact is positively for individual and growth. collective that allows us to be successful in everything we do.
