Wandering at night in Rennes City part 33 : kinetic work with a small pedestrian bridge (Lightpainting on Hive)

in PHOTOGRAPHY [DAC]22 days ago (edited)

Hi folks,

This picture was taken a year ago on a small pedestrian bridge located in the suburbs of the city of Rennes. I'm always looking for this kind of bridges because I find it inspirative and it gives me a lot of different possibilities for kinetic work.

For that specific picture, I used my gimbal head to make my camera rotate on its axis and a cardboard to cap/uncap the lens when wanted. It's a basic 8-way rotation stuff using a powerful flashlight.

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
