Here is a little treat for ya :)
I did post some photos with a nice and bubbly effect last time. A great lens that will produce pretty bubbles in the background if you give him a chance.
But look at this crazy little thing!
I call it a toy lens as it looks like a cheap plastic toy :) But don't let the look for ya. What it does to the background is unreal! The flood of large bokeh bubbles and the dreaminess makes the images look like they were taken underwater.
Just for some laughs - this is how it looks like :)

And this is what it can do, and it's still probably half of its abilities:
I have always wanted Trioplan 100 lens as it gives those large circles with very pronounced edges. Google it - you will love it! Pricey toy though.
This Pentacon AV 80mm will not give the exactly same effect of course, but it is also a fraction of a price. It is actually a projector lens, but you can get one adapted to fit a camera (m42 in my case).
With different light it can go from very smooth, watery blur, to really sharp round bubbles. I still didn't manage to catch them they way I would like though. Some morning sun with mist probably would help here.
There will be a day I catch them.
Just like the show in TV Google :p
Christmas tree :)
Shot with Sony a7 + Pentacon AV 80mm f2.8 lens
All photos and text are my own.
Well, very beautiful!
Thank you :)
We are dreaming now too... to have such a cool toy to make these dreamland fantasy scenes 🦄
We need more rainbows, unicorns, moons and lambos! :D

🚗 (imagine this is a lambo 🤣)
Are you Santa? :D D
(I am only 2 days late today... not bad :P)
No, I am something better than Santa.
I am an angel, well, an archangel actually! :)
I am trying today not to get backlogs hahaha
Oh boy, I love the effects!
I used to use the 105mm nikon macro for such shots. But these days I'm just glued to the 85mm. It's light weight and handy for almost everything 😅
Me too me too!
My Sigma for macro can catch some nice bokeh too. This is what I usually use. But damn it is a heavy brick!
Guess story of a photographer's life 😂
Super efekt :)
Dziekuje :)
Wow these are beautiful set of pictures.
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome 🤝
Nice bokeh! The old lenses with manual focus often are my favorite ones! They always give my photos the very interesting and beautiful bokeh! Especially old lenses of pentax and nikon.
I agree! They are the masters of bokeh. I couldn't get used to the manual focus for a while. Sony helps here :)
I never used any Sony cameras in my life but I own some old cameras of Fuji, Nikon, and Pentax, I collected most of their old manual lenses. Manual focus is the pain in my ass when we need a nice photo to capture some objects in short times lol. So I only use MF lenses for still objects and with suitable length of time to change the ISO, shuttering time and trying many photos to make sure they have enough light for a perfect photos :D
Oh my.. you have show the collection one of these days. My brother has quite a few of the old film cameras and old lenses too. I sometimes get to use them (lenses, not cameras).
Sony has a cool way to show in the viewer if the object is in focus and where the focus is. So that helps A LOT with the manual ones.
I will but most of my favorite Pentax lenses and Fuji ones were left in Michigan with my brother when I traveled to Europe. It is too expensive for shipping whole my collection from the U.S to my place now. I only have my Nikon with one old lense right now. So maybe the end of this year my brother will fly here to visit me and bring all of my things to me. I will post them to show you as soon as I have them in my hands ;)
@ewkaw these old lenses I have in hands right now (Paragon, tokins, and nikkor)
I don't know Paragon... will have to do some googling later on :)
Which one do you normally shoot with?
My favorite Nikkor MF 1:1.4. Tomorrow I will post about some test photos which each lense I have right now. :) but Paragon zoom 135mm MF is a very tough lense because a bit shaking and you never get any correct focus 😂😂
Those are some beautiful shots !
Thanks :D
It adds magic to the subject! 😍
It does indeed :)
Lovely bokeh! Beautiful shots.
Thank you :)
I like it. You got such neat affects with it.
Thanks! They can really change the whole image :)
Love these. Very useful effect. Thanks for the tip!
