I think our MCGI topic today is the continuation of what Brother Eli was teaching us in the spirit yesterday. Yesterday, we were taught about churches, pastors and religions that encourages their members to kill but today, we continued to talk about how to being back people to the Lord and how we encourage them to keep being holy.
While the sermon was going on, James 5: 19-20 was one of the prominent Bible verses read by Brother Eli.
It says, My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins
The word whoever means anyone who is able to bring someone back to Christ. This is not by choice but it is something you have to do if you see that such person is wandering away from the ways of God and encouraging more of Satanic acts.
It’s not even good for you to see someone in such way and not try to bring the person back to Christ.
If you help someone to go back to Christ, it becomes a blessing to you as well. This time, you are not only saving the person from death and hell but you are saving yourself also.
We Christians have to be holy. I think the word holiness is supposed to be our watchword every now and then.
After you get home from church, you are expected to read your Bible so that you can be sure of what your pastor is talking about.
The Bible is never going to lie to you so if something is confusing, you can ask your Bible about it.
This is what God wants us to do and he will never leave us when we need Him.
Most importantly, we need God everyday and by our sides.
Thank you for sharing this truth
Condemnation should not be the way of the Believer. God is still interested in the lost souls. Their redemption is what He came to accomplish on earth.
The doctrines of Jesus Christ are those rules we need to live for God
