Calvary greetings to you, dearly beloved. I'm glad to be here and share my entry to the part 2 of the question "Is it Biblical to pay tithe". As we have earlier discussed the issue of tithe, giving is another critical thing. As Christians, we are to give cheerfully. Even the Bible says in the book of Deuteronomy 15:11that the poor shall not cease from the land. So, there will always be someone in need of something at a particular time. So, giving is highly impactful.
Another fact about giving is that we don't have to possess the whole world before we give. There will always be someone we are better than. Hence, we can put smile on people's face even with the little we have. It is also worthy to note that giving is not only monetary. We can give anything we have . Tabitha that was also known as Dorcas gave people various things including dresses according to the book of Act 9:39.
Also, giving is a kingdom business. It doesn't go in vain. If we give, we shall also be given according to the Bible in the book of Luke 6:38. Everything will do for Christ sake has a reward. For God is not unjust to forget our labour of love. Dorcas gave and her giving spoke for her when she died. Though as Christians, we shouldn't give with the aim of getting back but because it is a good thing to do.God is the greatest giver, that He gave His only son for our salvation. Though we are not expected to give our lives but we can give other things we can afford to help others.
It is however important to note that giving is only worth it when it is done cheerfully and not grudgingly. God wants a cheerful giver. Our giving should not also be made public or be broadcast to receive praise, as explained in Matthew 6:3-4.
Thanks for reading.
Christian should embrace cheerful giving, freely from their heart.
