The importance of prayers cannot be overemphasized. Jesus disciples walked with him everywhere he went and got involved with his teachings to people He came in contact with. But even if they knew and saw most of these things, there came a day when they had to ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. Despite the fact that they were the closest to Christ, they still demanded that they be taught how to pray.
This is because prayer is a necessity in the life of christians. Some people often make statements like they are praying for certain things, but in the real sense they didn't really pray for it. There was never a time that they consciously went before God in prayers and asked Him for their need. So what most people call prayer is actually a wish, or hope. These things are not the same as what actual prayer means.
Whereas, there are people who claim to pray but they don't pray the right way. When praying to God there's a way we are expected to pray. The first thing we must bear in mind when praying according to the Bible is that God is and He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him. Being aware of who you are praying to is very important. Because the way we approach a king is not the same way we approach a common person.
The reason why many people have a hard time receiving the desired answers to their prayers is because they don't pray the right way. But when we pray aright, we are certain of receiving answers.
