Every piece of knowledge that we have today is because God allowed us to know it. The things concerned with the spirit, especially when dealing with God, is beyond human comprehension. It may seem like it doesn't even make sense. That's why the bible said in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that "God uses the foolish things in this world to confound the wise."
Where our knowledge stops is where God's knowledge begins. The reason why some people are ignorant or unbelieving of the Word of God is because they are looking at it from a logical perspective. Our intelligence or educational qualifications has absolutely nothing to do with the Word of God.
Choosing to believe man's knowledge and ignoring the spiritual aspect leaves us limited in so many ways.
2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
There are other forms of blindness. It's not only when we can't see with our two naked eyes that we are considered blind. So we can have both our eyes open but still be blind. Physical vision is the least aspect of sight. When Prophet Elisha and his servant were surrounded by soldiers and his servant started panicking, Elisha made a prayer to God that He opened the eyes of his servant. Until making that prayer, his servant was able to see what he was unable to see even when his two eyes were opened.
Today, the devil is still blinding the eyes of people. The are not wise, they are just blinded and do not know it.
