POINTS OF WHAT I LEARNED.
I learned that the desire of God is for all men to be saved, that is why he does not discriminate. Once we humble ourselves and acknowledge our mistakes and ask God for forgiveness, God will definitely forgive us. God called us through the gospel and as we keep and obey the doctrines we receive,we will be saved. As we continue keeping the word,we are also keeping Christ. God chooses the weak things of the world to confound the mighty. He chooses the poor to confound the rich so that the rich will not be arrogant but humble themselves.
We should not glory in our riches or power because it will lead us to perdiction. God wants man to be justify that is why he want to be part of his glory. If we do not believe in God,we will not be saved. God is the savior of all men especially those who believe. Faith cometh by the hearing of the word of God and the word that is kept produce faith. The word we receive, believe and kept will bring us salvation. One way for us to believe is for us to accept and keep the word.
Believing the word will give us the idea to keep it. When we experience the word,it will become a mark in us. For us to keep the word,we should exercise it. When we keep applying the word,we will become expert in it. It is one thing to believe and know the word. It is another thing to rely on it. The word of God should be our guide during the difficulties and challenges of life. We should lean on the word for encouragement and hope.
All the righteouness of God that we hear,we should put them into practice. Our obedience to the commandments of God will justify us. For people to glorify God in our lives,we should practice the doctrines we hear.
Our lips should not be accustomed to evil because if we do, that is where our exercise would be. We should be accustomed to the word of we hear and evil. We should separate ourselves from evil and not the word we receive. When we are used to the word of God,it will be hard for the devil to penetrate us. We should practice those things that pleases God.
HOW DOES THE STUDY AFFECT ME.
The study has taught me that the more we hear and practice the word of God, the more our faith grows.
