The faith of Christians is based on the gospel. Outside the the gospel, Christians do not entertain philosophy, ideology. It is gospel which is the main basis of faith of the Christians.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
The faith of Christians does not base on the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. The power of God which is the gospel, must be basis of our faith is not the system of belief that is invented by humans and their religions in their own ideology, but the basis of faith of all Christian's belief which is the power of God and which is the gospel. The teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark 1:14
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
So, it is the Lord Jesus Christ who originally preached the gospel of the kingdom of God. And when He is about to return to Heaven, He commanded the Apostles to spread the gospel. Christians believe in the gospel. It is the basis of our faith, it is the basis of our belief, the power of God the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
