Where do you take refuge? What, or who is your first resort when in trouble? Where do you first resort to in times of danger? Where lies your confidence in padding through the sea of life? For some, they think of more money, other may think of someone to run to, yet for some others, going to their village to find out the cause and solution, is the right thing to do. Over time, these have all failed for David, " In the LORD I take refuge" ( Psalm 11:1 ). God is more than sufficient, beloved. Take refuge in Him, He never fails.
David was a man who overcame challenge during his sojourn here on earth. He boldly and resolutely declared: " I will give thanks to the Lord" ( Psalm 9:1 ). This should be one of our firm resolves. Like David, insist on giving thanks, no matter what the situation would seem to present. Until you make your mind and insist on giving thanks, satan will always show you reasons why you cannot give thanks. Second, it should be " with my whole heart".Insist on giving thanks with all your heart no matter the sufferings, hardships and tribulations.
