When we truly place our trust in God and surrender our destiny to Him, that is when He begins to guide, manage, and direct every aspect of our lives. It’s only by submitting ourselves completely to God that He becomes the true director of our affairs and the controller of our paths.
However, if we choose not to submit our lives to God, the opposite will happen. God will not interfere with our decisions, allowing us to rely on our own understanding — a path that often leads to confusion, mistakes, and ultimately, destruction.
James 4:7 says: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
This scripture clearly teaches us to yield ourselves fully to God. Submitting everything to Him enables Him to take control of our lives, guiding us in the right direction and shielding us from harm. But when we resist this submission, we open the door to chaos and spiritual downfall.
Philippians 2:13 reminds us: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
This means that it is God who gives us the strength, desire, and ability to fulfill His purpose. Yet, this can only happen when we surrender our entire being to Him, allowing His will to operate in and through us.
In conclusion, Bro. Eli emphasized that it is only when we wholly submit our lives to God that He can truly take control of our destinies. Trying to manage life on our own often leads to failure, but allowing God to lead ensures peace, purpose, and fulfillment.
