Good evening everyone. I hope we are doing greatly. Am Sis Atuma Hope and am doing this post to share my lessons from the mass indoctrination Day 12.
From the teaching,We learnt that man in its nature has so many ambitions which mostly is on earthly things, but in the book of Acts 17:25 - 28,there we saw it is God's Will that man should seek Him. Despite all the earthly desires of a man, we have the obligation to seek God as He is not far from those that seek Him and because of Christ Jesus we are brought near to God as in the book of Ephesians 2:11-13.There are two things that exist in this world, the good and evil things, sometimes when a man desires to try doing good, seeking God and faith in His Word, the devil will try to destroy such desires by all means.
We also learnt according to the parable of the Sower taught by Christ that, the word of God is referred to the seed sowed and the four various places the seeds fell is liking into four kinds of hearts that men have as written in the book of Matthew 13:3-9, of which only one of the four is a good one. These various places the seed fell include ; by the way side, by the stony place, on thorns ground and on good ground. The seeds that fell on the goods ground will surely bear forth fruits and this is referred to the man with a good heart. Also men with any of the other three hearts are men who do evil and needs a renewal of their hearts.
According to the teaching, we learnt that no matter the heart a man comes to God with, God is willing to accept as He is able to give any man a new good heart and want to serve all men ( 1 Timothy 2:4). God is willing to take away the stony heart and replace such a person's heart with a new heart and new spirit as written in the book of Ezekiel 36 : 26. For example in the Bible, (1Tim.1 :13-15 and Acts 22: 4), Paul one of the Apostles, before been called by God was a very evil person, he was even the chief of sinners but God was able to change him, so everyone still have hope. once we are able to desire of Him, believe in His Words and seek Him whole heartedly, we are sure to find Him and be washed of our sins through the practice of the true doctrine of baptism. Therefore brethren, whoever we maybe, we can return to God and be washed.
