Good evening everyone. Hope we are doing greatly. It's always a privilege to study and hear God's word. Am Sis Atuma Hope be and am doing this post to share my lessons from the mass indoctrination Day 2.
From the study, we learnt that members of the early Christians were from various religion (2Corin. 1) and some were of Judaism before God gathered or called them (John 11:52). In the Ephesians 4:4, the early Christians were called out to gather all into one body and were given one hope. There is one body, were one Spirit is and where God called His church.
According to Colossians 1:18, the one body were God called His people to is the Church, therefore Bibilically there is only one Church of God calls and that Church is the Church of God as found in the book of 1 Corin. 11:22 and verse 16. The members of the Church of God are not contentous (Acts 20:28) and The Church of God has been in existence 2000 years ago as it was established in the first century and the Apostles in the early days were overseers of the Church (1 Tim3:5). The church is eternal and can't be brought to an end or destroyed by any mortal man.
We also saw from the teaching that the church of God was purchased by Christ with His own blood and therefore whatever that is of God should be called by HIS name and it is for His Glory alone. It is a commandment of Christ that we join the church (John 12:48) and since the Church of God has been in the existence many years ago so we are only to join the church ( Rom. 12:9). We are not to form our own church.
In the book of Ephesians 3:6, we are Gentile and as Gentiles, we are fellow heirs, members of the same body which is the Church. Joining the church is accepting the Gospel. (1Corin 10:32) as for us to join, we should know the doctrines, the true doctrines of God is written in the Bible and it is that which we should believe in. We do not accept the Gospel by mere raising our hands or by making confessions, the Gospel is the Word of trueth , it is the doctrines to be studied, obeyed and kept for we are saved if we practice the Gospel (1Corin. 15 :1-2).
The Gospel has a doctrine on every issues of life.
We also saw from the study that one of the doctrine in the church of God is Singing for God. Singing is a commandment and we sing to God. Songs are older than the world as the angels song for God during the creation. Songs are originated from God. The entire hosts of entir sings to the Almighty God.
