TITUS 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost
Baptism is a Spiritual right, done on a believer to place a seal on their repentance.
And I also understand that baptism is not done just anywhere
Ezra 7:23
Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
Baptism should and must be done for and in the house of God in order to see its efficacy. Any baptism done outside the house of God is vain.
Where then is the house of God ?
1 Tim 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
The house of God is the ground of truth "The church". Any church that teaches the pure doctrine of God in accordance with his word is the house of God. And there only, baptism can be done. Note not every church is the house of God.
Matt 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
If we are to be baptized in accordance to the word of God, we have to be baptized in the name of the Father " God" and of the Son "Jesus Christ", and of the Holy Spirit.
1 CORINTHIANS 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
