Hello brethren,

I want to contribute to the question What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23: 42-43 ( Part 7of 7)

There are some people who have not reason, who do not believe, who don't have faith but they will be accepted as righteous in the sight of God in the day of judgement due to their good work.

According to the letter of Apostle Paul to the Romans in Romans 10:17 it says "So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.

Romans 2:13 says "For it is not by hearing the Law that people are put right with God, but by doing what the Law commands".

Apostle Paul was talking about those people who have not heard the law, who have no faith, they don't know Jesus.

Romans 2:14"The Gentiles do not have the Law; but whenever they do by instinct what the Law commands, they are their own law, even though they do not have the Law".

Then, why do the Gentiles do not have the law
It is because they have died before the law, before know knowing Jesus, the died before the Bible was even printed. They are in the remotes area now where people are ignorant of the Bible.

But even if they don't have the law but they do by nature the things that contained in the law, they shall be saved. According to the book of Romans 2:15"Their conduct shows that what the Law commands is written in their hearts. Their consciences also show that this is true, since their thoughts sometimes accuse them and sometimes defend them.

This above passage will explain what the apostle Paul said in I Timothy 4:10, it says"We struggle and work hard, because we have placed our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all and especially of those who believe.

Jesus Christ is the saviour of the world especially those who believe.

Then I ask, is there possibility that those who do not believe or who have not heard the law will be saved?

Yes, there is, because even if they have not heard the law but they do by nature the good things contained in the law, they can be justified.
Because it is not the hearer of the word but those that obey the law are justified.

Like what our Lord Jesus Christ said in the book of Matthew 25:34 "Then the King will say to the people on his right, 'Come, you that are blessed by my Father! Come and possess the kingdom which has been prepared for you ever since the creation of the world.

Matthew 25:35 "I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a stranger and you received me in your homes,

Matthew 25:37"The righteous will then answer him, 'When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Then for those who don't want to do good works ,our Lord Jesus Christ will say to you, "Go 'Away from me, you that are under God's curse! Away to the eternal fire which has been prepared for the Devil and his angels!(Matthew 25:41).

Matthew 25:42" I was hungry but you would not feed me, thirsty but you would not give me a drink;

Matthew 25:43 "I was hungry but you would not feed me, thirsty but you would not give me a drink;

Verse44 "Then they will answer him, 'When, Lord, did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and we would not help you?"

Verse 45 "The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you refused to help one of these least important ones, you refused to help me.'

Brethren, now that we are given chance to do good works, let strive to do it , to avoid the penalty that comes after those that didn't obey.

Also, we should know that, refusing to do good works will disqualify you from inheriting the kingdom of God.
