When we listen to the teaching about why good people suffer and why the wicked seem to flourish, this gives us a comfort and perspective. Many of us struggle with this very question that, why does it appear that injustice reigns? Why do good people die young?
Why do the corrupt minded always strive?
The words of King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 9, that all things come alike to all. Both righteous and wicked experience the same event in life, whether sickness, success, death, and even persecution.
However, this message does not end here and we must not lose hope as a believer, but God's justice is not limited to earthly life. But while John the Baptist, a righteous man, died young and unjust, but expect that justice will be reviewed after the resurrection during the time of judgment.
In John 5:28-29, Jesus said that those who have done good rise to a bit eternal life. And those who are evil will rise to redemption. This means that we must not think God is unjust.
When evil people prosper, that does not mean that God has turned his back on us.
Their triumph might be temporary. The joy of the hypocrites is but for a moment. The faithful who suffer now are blessed. Their reward is great. Brother Eli teaching reminds us that we should endure fate knowing that God's justice, though delayed, is perfect and always eternal.
