Day 6 Mass Indoctrination Service. 13th December, 2021. Via Zoom.

Some of the lessons learnt and short video from the teaching by bro Eli Soriano

From the teaching, I learnt that for our prayers to be answered, we need to confess our sin/fault to whom we offend and let the person pray for us and if a brother sin against us, we need to do the same, forgive and pray for the person.

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If we see someone who sin, the first obligation is to pray for the person and not to spread it about.

1 John 5:16
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

Love covers all things, we should show love to all people including those that sinned against us.

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

In the world, there's possibilities of sinning every day because thinking about evil is even a sin.
When we sin, first thing we need to do is to confess to God and then confess to whom we sin against. Our confession is not to a priest but to God.

Psalms 32:5
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

The bible established that he who covered his sin shall not prosper.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

God listened to prayers of the righteous. If we obey God, before we pray He already answered.

Isaiah 65:24
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

There's no need for a righteous man to be repetitive in his prayers, God already know what is in the mind.

Matthew 6:7-8
:7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
:8. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

We are the temple of God not the building. God dwells in us.

Acts 17:24
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

While we are the temple of God, we are to be prayerful. In all we do, we must be disciplined.

1 Corinthians 14:40
Let all things be done decently and in order.

At times we have difficulties because of the bad things we do.

Lamentations 3:39
Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

God promise not to forsake us when we are contend with what we have.

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Proverbs 17:1
Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.
