This is a question many people ask, especially when discussing life after death and the promise of heaven. According to the Bible, as of now, no ordinary human being has ascended to heaven except the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let’s start with John 3:13 (KJV), where Jesus clearly says:
“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.”
So only Our Lord jesus christ who came down to earth from heaven , has returned there.
He alone has access because He is both human and divine.
In Hebrews 11:13 (KJV), it speaks of the patriarchs of faith—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and others:
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises… and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”
This tells us that even those great men of faith have not yet received their final reward in heaven. They are waiting, like all faithful believers, for the resurrection and final judgment.
Furthermore, Ephesians 4:10 (KJV) says:
“He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens…”
Clearly, this refers to Jesus Christ alone.
So, according to Scripture, only Jesus has ascended to heaven the rest of the faithful will receive their reward in due time
