This is the commandment of God. It is the commandment of God that we should do good to all men. God has commanded us to do good to all men. God wants us to do good to others. It is a good thing and pleasing unto God that we relate with others in goodness. We are good people because the church is the gathering of those whom God has transformed. The word of God teaches us what is good.
The goodness of God is what the whole world needs. There is so much pain and suffering in the world. Many people are traumatized by the way the economic situation in some nations are. In our societies we have seen those who have been displaced by terrorism. This is a common occurrence in some of our African countries. Children and adults alike are suffering from hunger. All these people need the touch of God's love.
The Lord Jesus Christ said to us that it will be by the love which we exhibit that people will see the love of God over us. The love of God is not what we express by mere words of the mouth. We need to show the world that we are the children of love. This we can demonstrate by being good to others. Love is the perfect way to express our belief in God. This love will only be visible by good works which we are doing. Some people can preach but their hands cannot do what the word of God says. Let us do good to all men because that is the commandment of God.

Doing good unto all men shows that we have the love of the Father in us.
