What Is The Faith Of The Thief On The Cross Part 7 of 7

My contribution to the topic above.

Have really learnt so much in the course of these teaching in loving memory of Bro. Eli Soriano.

I also learnt that faith was what got the thief on the right hand saved not good works, because had no chance to do any good work at that particular time due to his condemnation.

Another point from the series was that as long as we are alive we are to do good works just like Jesus did.

Now concerning those who have not heard about the gospel of Jesus Christ but are doing good works, their good works will be counted for them for righteousness because they don't have the opportunity to hear the gospel, just like the thief which his faith happen to speak for him.

Romans 2:13-15

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

In conclusion let not forget that good works is also needed for the perfecting of our faith, let not be the hearer alone but the doer also.

Only for those you had no chance to hear the gospel would their good works be counted for them for righteousness.

As long as we've heard the gospel we are to do good works.
