In the Lord's prayer, there's a line that says, "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us." There's no perfect being on earth. Everyone has offended someone in one way or the other. We are also guilty of this. Whenever we ask God for forgiveness, we should look within ourselves to find out if we hold anything against anyone.
If so, we should ensure to forgive that person. It's unfair to request forgiveness from God and expect Him to grant us while we refuse to forgive others who offended us. God frowns at such act. We should find it easy to forgive anyone no matter what they may have done against us. Holding something against someone hinders us from alot of things.
Matthew 6:14 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
This is a really serious issue that God had to say that if we are keeping malice with anyone and we bring an offering unto Him He will not accept it until we settle whatever differences we have with such person. This is why many people don't receive after giving even though receiving follows when you gives.
Let's learn to forgive whenever someone offends; whether knowingly or unknowingly. I believe God will help us.
