As important as praying in, we should not neglect the area of action. Prayer is not magic. When we pray to God He tells us what to do in order to achieve what we seek. Many of the things people pray for and have not received answers to is not because God didn't hear them or refused to answer them. Most times it is because they have refused to do what they are meant to do.
Whatever we hope and pray to God for, we still need to take steps towards it. The bible made us to know in James 4:8 that if we draw near to God, then he will draw near to us. Call upon the Lord is not all that there is to drawing close to Him. We should be willing to do all that's involved to get closer to God.
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you
When don't rest after praying. Jesus told the parable of the missing coin. The the owner lost the coin the owner didn't pray for the coin to appear, what the owner did was light up a candle and started to look for it. If we are not ready to go and seek what we so desire but leave it only on prayers then we may never get it.
There's always something we can do in addition to prayers. So when we pray, we should not fail to act when it is needed.
