In as much as Evil exists in the world, the truth is that it does not come from God. The preacher explained to us that the reason God allows evil to happen is that He has given humans free will, the power to choose between good and evil.
The book of Deuteronomy 30:19, God gave us life and death, he now urged us us to choose life so that we and our children may live a happy and eternal life. God had already made everything good Before creating man, this includes food, clothing, land, and rain,this can be likened to the way a railway track is prepared before the train passess on it.
Also the book of Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that the reason for our creation is to do good works, which God Himself prepared in advance for us to follow. But it is a thing of sadness that many people misuse this freedom, the choose evil instead of the good life God desires for everyone.
