Forgive and Forget- What Does The Bible Say?

in MCGI Cares Hive4 months ago (edited)

This teaching on forgive and forget reminded me of a friend. A very close friend of mine that we had a serious misunderstanding. The problem was serious that our both families were aware of it.

One day, My parents invited her around and she came. There we discussed things through and admitted our mistake, then both of us apologies to each other and for once it felt like the problem was solved.

To me, the problem was really solved, but I didn't know about her. She left my place and even when she did reach her house, she called me that she was home. After that call, I didn't see any calls again from her amd even when i try to call, she doesn't take my calls either. So I kept wondering what was wrong.

After few days, I went to her place to visit her, but her behaviours and the way she welcomed me told me already that something was still bothering her in the mind. And the truth is, I don't really know what I have really done to her that she should have still kept that in the mind uotil now. She was really the person who offered me the most, but I counted it all as normal human errors in life.

This teaching is powerful. People finds it very difficult to forgive, and the worst thing is that most of them can't really tell why they can't forgive or what a person has really done to them. Forgiveness is devine and according to the teacher, without love, it is difficult to forgive.
