We can highlight this, that God does not share judgments at birth. Instead, he decided to watch us throughout our entire lifetime. This makes a lot of sense because if we are to fix judgments the moment we are born, then these choices will not matter.
Brother Eli explained that God gave us free will, and the free will is what determines the paths of life, or the path of destruction. So the scripture in Deuteronomy 13:19 fits perfectly. There was a layout of life and death before blessing and cursing, and there'd be a choice to choose life.
This shows that even though God wants us to be saved, he can never force salvation on anyone, so obedience and disobedience all play a huge role on the way we enter into life. Brother Eli also used Apostle Paul and King Solomon, it's a perfect example.
Paul was sure that his salvation would only happen after he'd finished the mission of God. Meanwhile Solomon started to worry about fear, because he started to turn the way so these two lights reminded him that his Christian journey must work and be maintained properly to the end.
In summary, Brothed Eli shows that salvation is not just automatic. It is a lifelong walk with God. God will observe our last breath, giving us our chance to remain faithful. We must be careful, committed, if we want to receive what God has promised us to receive.
