Learning How To Forgive || MCGI Topic Review

Forgiveness is just a reminder to call us not to transgress from the human instinct. When someone does wrong to us, normally our natural reaction is to retaliate or be angry. But yet, as believers, we are asked to keep responding differently. That is to forgive one another when they wrong us.

This is just about the divine opportunity that we have in Matthew 6:14-15. We are being taught that forgiving others will open doors for God to forgive us our sin and our transgression. When we choose mercy over vengeance, we are trying to live a life that guarantees God's justice and invites grace into our lives.

Forgiveness is not easy sometimes, especially when it's the offense hurt us by God. But I just have to advise you that God allows all these moments to teach us and show us mercy. It will actually benefit us internally.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 reminds us that even if we are sinless, not even the holiest people like Job or Abraham, but when we forgive, we mirror the mercy of God and secure the forgiveness. Even for our own shortcomings.

Understanding this always transforms our lives. It's like the art of self-love. So, when we learn to forgive, we don't just feel as if we are safe, but we attract God's abundant mercy as we embrace forgiveness, knowing that it is just a gift for both us, for both others and ourselves, to forgive and attract the grace of God in our life and mercy.
