Meditation in the biblical manner is meditating on the law of the Lord, not the law of men. The true meditation or the perfect meditation taught by the Bible which is the authentic word of God is in the book of Psalms
"Psalms 1:2–
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
Psalms 1:3–
"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
There is danger in obeying the law of men according to Titus 1:14–
"Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth."
Commandments or law of men in religion turn one away from the truth. Meditation should be in the law of the Lord day and night, meditating how to do good to others, how not to do injustice to others, how to avoid doing something which is unlawful in the sight of God and may destroy or harm other people.
Psalms 119:97-
"O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day."
I am @edith-4angelseu and thank you for stopping by my neighbourhood.
We are revived when we meditate on the law of the Lord rather than the law of men. Thank you for sharing this deep understanding on the need to focus on the authentic word of God for true meditation.
We should meditate on the Word of God
