The thing with facts is that whether we choose to believe in them or not it doesn't change the fact that it is true. God exists, whether people choose to believe it or not. Each and everyone of us, even down to the vegetation, firmament, and every other living things were all created by God. Wisdom starts with believing in God and having fear and reverence for Him.
Anybody wise enough does not need too much convincing to believe that God truly exists. Those who refuse to believe in God's existence are indirectly painting themselves as fools because that is what the Bible classifies those set of people. And Ecclesiastes 5:4 tells us that God has no pleasure with such kind of people. The worst thing that can happen to someone is letting the devil into deceiving Him that there is no God.
Everything he does is all in a bit to draw us away from God. If he doesn't succeed in making you not believe then he devises means to make us walk contrary to God's commandments and ordinances. We have to choices: either to believe in a lie or in the truth. It is entirely up to us. It is risky to live a life in unacceptance of God's existence. Most people who live this way, may incur danger their way and have no form of defense because God shows up for His own alone.
Believing in God puts us under His covering. It doesn't make sense not believing in the one who created us.
