Thanks be to God. It was another powerful day in the presence of the lord.
I learned so much today, we were taught not to set our affection to the things of the world but to make heaven our number one priority according to Colossians 3:2, set your affection to the things above and not the things on the earth, the earthly things perishes but the things of God never perish because they are of God.
I learned so much about the parable of the sower in Luke 8:13-15. The servant of God taught us about the 4 kinds of people in the world
- The wayside people, They hear the word and forget immediately,these kind of people are easily distracted and falls victim of all kinds of things, their heart are not strong, they can easily be persuaded.
- Thorns kind of people,are the ones that have hear the word of God and have accepted it, but when they go out,they are badly influenced by others,the pleasures, problems of life such as money, fornication and other evil things will corrupt them.
- The rocky kind of people. These ones they hear the word, but it is not rooted in their hearts and when temptation comes they fell off.
- The Good ground. These people hear the word and keep it on their hearts and are not easily persuaded and corrupted, they always bear fruit and always do the work of God.
In the book of Ezekiel 36:26,28. If we allow God to dwell in us, he is ready to give us new life and heart, God said,and ye shall dwell in the land which I give your fathers and ye shall be my people and I will be your God, A new spirit will I give you and I will take away stony heart from your flesh and give a new heart. God is always ready to give us a new life, let us seek him.
I learned that we should always seek the face of God always. Acts 17:26,27,28. God is not far from anyone, he is always with us, seek him and you shall find him.
We must also accept that Jesus came and died for us, and we should obey and always do what he commands us. Christ came and died because of our sins, so we must always serve him and accept him as our lord and savior. Worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Those that commit sins like fornication, adultery, idolatry, coveteusness, murder will not inherit the kingdom of God, let us confess our sins and turn from our evil ways and allow Christ to come into our lives and dwell in us, let us sanctified and make ourselves Clean so that on the last day we shall be with him and also inherit the Kingdom of God.
