How Should Christians Practice Meditation // MCGI Topic Review

in MCGI Cares Hive11 days ago

In this insightful teaching, Bro. Eli Soriano explained the true meaning of meditation from a biblical point of view. Many people today see meditation as an act of emptying the mind or engaging in mystical practices, but Bro. Eli clarified that Christian meditation is completely different. It is about filling the mind with God’s word, not emptying it.

Bro. Eli emphasized that meditation must be based on the law of God, not on human traditions. As Psalm 1:2 says,

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

When we talk about true meditation, we are talking about how to obey the commandment of God, doing good to other people, and then become a good and better person in our community

We as chrsitians were reminded that we should not see meditation as just an exercise for the mind, but a form of spiritual discipline that can bring not just peace but transformation. Our character is being shaped when we meditate on the Word of God, this helps us to remain steadfast in faith.

Lastly , we were encouraged by Bro. Eli to make meditation a daily habit, we should see it as a way to make relationship with God to be strong and live a life that truly reflects His will.
