We humans always find it difficult to forgive those who offend us. Sometimes we get annoyed to the extent of planning how to take revenge or holding grudges against them. But the bible tells us that it's not a way a Christian should live.
Hebrews 8:12: made us to understand the importance of forgiveness in the life of a Christian. God himself set example of forgiveness to us-not only forgiving our sins but also he promised not to remember it anymore, it means that he will not call our sins to account against us anymore if only we repent and ask for his forgiveness.
In this teaching, Bro Eli reminds us that as christians, we should learn how to forgive and forget what people did to us. We should consciously let go of grudges, bitterness and resentment, although it is always difficult to forgive as humans we are.
I Corinthians 13:5: teaches us that love keep no record of wrongs, meaning that wherever there's love, it will be easy to forgive those who offend us. So as christians, let's always love each other and forgive those who offend us always as our father in heaven have commanded us.
